Co-founder
Sophie is a trusted advisor to CEOs, C-suite executives, and boards, recognized for her expertise in corporate governance, sustainability, and shareholder activism. She has served on the boards of directors of companies and non-profit organizations in Europe, the United States, the UAE, and Africa.
Sophie is the founder of LeaderXXchange, a purpose-driven company advancing sustainability in leadership, governance, and investment. Previously, Sophie was an M&A lawyer in New York and Paris. She served as Managing Director of a hedge fund in New York and later founded a strategic governance advisory firm providing stewardship and engagement solutions to investors and companies worldwide.
In recognition of her achievement in the fields of corporate governance and sustainability, Sophie received the ICGN Lifetime Achievement Award, the New York Women in Asset Management Award (ESG), the Global Proxy Watch 10 Award, and was featured on Forbes France's "40 French Women Who Count" list.
Sophie holds an MBA from INSEAD, an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a Master of Laws from Sorbonne Paris I Law School (France), and studied at the University of Saarbrücken (Germany).
Co-founder and President
Prior to co-founding B Manta, Michael served as Executive Director of Markets at Vigeo Eiris, now Moody's ESG, a global leader in ESG ratings. In this role, he was responsible for the group's commercial activities, marketing, indices, and advisory services. He also held executive and board positions in several group subsidiaries across Asia, North and South America, and participated in numerous international professional associations.
Previously, Michael spent fifteen years at Air France KLM, where he held various management positions in France and abroad. He led departments with over 500 employees and managed several strategic projects, particularly in M&A and supply chain.
Deeply committed to the non-profit sector as a volunteer, he has also chaired several non-profits he supports. Michael is currently an adjunct professor in sustainable finance and President of Whyden, a sustainable growth consulting firm he founded. He serves on the advisory board of a French fintech company and on the board of a social child protection non-profit in France.
